The summer camp for 2010 is being held in Hawkes Bay on Friday 12th March, Saturday 13th March and Sunday 14th March, 2010.
The base for the camp is the Arataki Holiday Camp in Havelock North. They have a range of accomodation options at present, but are filling fast as the Hawkes Bay has many events on at this time of the year...
Summer Camp:
When I checked with Arataki Motel and Holiday Park last week they had the following accomodation remaining:
- 3 motel units ($125 for 2 person, $18 for additional people or $12 for children <15yrs) 2 x double beds plus 1 x single
- 10 tourist flats ($110 for 2 person extras as per above) 1 x double and a bunk
- 6 Cabins ($60 for 2 - I think) 1 x double, 4 x singles
- Camp site $16 per person
- On site caravans available $55 (2 persons)
- They do also have various backpacker accom
Some of the above you will need to bring bedding etc, any questions give them (or me) a call, they are very helpful.
I am booking our accom today and suggest if you are keen to get in quickly.......... I will go and check out the cooking facilities etc to make sure we take all the necessary things to make it all happen smoothly....
We will definately have a fun , yet relaxed weekend planned for those who feel up to it

Becs and Warren have offered to co-ordinate some weekend events, but the format will be the same as the 40th Tour, you book and pay for things as individuals, rather than bookings by the organiser...
I am going down a day earlier to help with the details and will update the website as details of the weekend become available. With great vineyards, world class activities along Marine Parade etc, it will be a great weekend for all those who attend.
